About Us

We are on a relentless mission to build up a pipeline of educated, discipled, skilled young people in Africa to transform their communities and countries spiritually, socially, and economically—now and for generations to come.

THE NEW AFRICA aims to learn, assess, showcase, and support the scaling of innovative youth employment interventions, and solutions for the pressing needs of the continent. To this end, THE NEW AFRICA is developing joint knowledge products, building a network of advocates, partners, funders and facilitating targeted technical guidance to ongoing projects in specific areas of high demand. THE NEW AFRICA will use the learnings and outcomes of Impact Portfolio projects to inform the design and development of its vision.

This initiative is fueled by the need to address a growing challenge: In the next 10 years, more than 1 billion young people will enter the job market. This means that 5 million jobs are needed per month to accommodate this in population and maintain current employment levels in the developing world.
