The Problem

The good news is era92 just keeps on growing. The problem is we have run out of working space and classroom space. We currently have an office space beside our shelter. Many of our offices have been converted to classrooms and this is creating issues for both learners and staff.

In 2024, we plan to provide our eight month intensive training to hundreds of youth at our main center. In order to do this, we need to build a proper Hub – a Community Transformation Center. This new structure will allow us to take in more students and provide higher quality training without interruptions. It will also provide a showroom where youth can begin to sell their products, and have a co-working space where they can launch their business ideas and access funding though era92 Fund.

We also intend to build a new event and fellowship facility for the community. Our vision in everything is to make this a place where young people can come and make their dreams a reality. 

  • The Community Transformation Center will help make disciples, entrepreneurs, skilled workers and create jobs for the local community. 
  • The CTC will accommodate 300+ people working on a daily basis. 

Furthermore, these new facilities will assist in our application for accreditation with the Ugandan Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT). 

A Training &
Enterprise Hub

The Hub will be a home for era92 Fund, era92 Creative, era92 Elevate, 92hands Uganda, a home for budding entrepreneurs,

TNA Hub will connect youth and the community to global best practice in training and technology, specially located and designed to address barriers to youth employment and economic inclusion.

A range of activities will take place at a CTC Hub, enabling innovation and a cross-pollination of ideas, access to funding, discipleship and seeding points for new business. Youth energy coupled with networks, finance,  market access and industry inputs are the right mix of ingredients for small business development to thrive.

Participants who register at the Hub are offered access to networks, training, markets, work opportunities, ideas for careers or new businesses, and the necessary partner support to make it happen. SMEs are the main generators for jobs, which is why TNA Hub will work to attract the magic cocktail of ideas and resources to encourage and nurture an SME eco-system.

Together with like-minded partners and corporate employment partners, The Hub will deliver a host of programmes that include a basket of digital & tech courses, textile / fashion manufacturing center, ceramics labs, creative agencies, business support centers, drone & robotics programming, software development, culinary academies, beauty therapy, 3D printing labs, and urban farming (to name but a few). Exciting programmes are being planned and added regularly.

The CTC Hub will be a home to thousands of potential entrepreneurs, learners and self-starters who just need that first chance to unlock their potential through support programmes, training, funding and connections to markets and business.

Sustainability

The Hub will have in-house social businesses, such as the era92 brands, that will pay rent to generate income to sustain it.

Long-Term Impact

The Hub will be a world class center to nurture world class talent, businesses, and leaders. It will be the beating heart of our entrepreneurial ecosystem, creating more and more jobs.

The development of the site will also have a big impact on the regeneration of our local community.

This supports our strategy to create 10,000 skilled jobs in the next 3 years.
